Medical Botox
Overview
Bruxism is involuntary clenching and grinding, most often occurring during sleep. It causes dental wear, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) pain, morning headaches and tension around the ears.
Botulinum toxin applied to the masseter — and where necessary the temporalis — reduces the excessive contraction force of the muscle. Used together with a night guard, dental wear and joint load fall markedly.
